I have to say that this one is Scalzi's best book yet and I really enjoyed it. So why would I give it five stars? Publisher: Tor Science Fiction Release Date: August 19th, 2008. Although Scalzi revisits the plot of his last novel, his youthful narrator has her own heart-touching and exciting adventures. Zoe's Tale (2008) by John Scalzi. To be fair, I'd already spent the last few days reading 'Zoe's Tale' before I felt the urge to go 'fantasy' and I'd also felt that I wanted to catch up on at least one ongoing series before the year ended! Soon backstabbing interns, a runaway Cinderella, and cutthroat competition make Zoe's job more like a nightmare than a fairy tale.
